A delightful all ivory Art Deco figure on a Portoro marble base of a sad young girl wiping her tears with her dress. Exquisitely executed

Condition: Jewel-like small figure in excellent condition. Ivory is perfect and marble base is almost pristine.

Ballet Dancer by Demetre H Chiparus

Elegant silvered bronze and ivory Art Deco figure of an old-time ballet dancer on a carved brown onyx base. Her face is beautiful and both it and her hands are exquisitely carved.

Date: circa 1925

Height: 34cm (13.5 inches) including base

Signed: Chiparus on base

Condition: Very good: minor paint loss on silvering of right arm and a few tiny hairlines in the ivory, commensurate with age. None of these detract from her appearance.
